Shoe Brands To Watch: Fin’s For Him

(All Text in Burgundy is Clickable)

Fin‘s For Him (from the UK) first got on Men’s Style Pro radar at this summer’s PROJECT Show New York, where they were showcasing their Spring 13′ shoe line.  After becoming enamored with their craftsmanship, quality choice of materials and spectrum of colors available, it was clear Fin’s For Him may have a home on Men’s Style Pro. Even though the spring collection hasn’t been released, the Fall 12′ collection is upon us.

The base of any good outfit is a solid of pair of shoes and the Cooper Brogue Wingtip is a very modern and stylish interpretation of the classic wingtip that should be added to your closet. Crafted from Italian calfskin the Cooper brogue wingtips is sleeker than the traditional wingtip with a longer vamp and closed quarter. After speaking with a representative from Fin’s For Him about the Cooper Brogues, she informed me that they run a size larger than advertised. So, if you plan on purchasing them, go one size down from their UK conversion. (in the US, I am a 10, but, In the UK I am a 9. For this particular shoes, I am a UK 8). Not only am I impressed with the brand due to their customer service and attention to detail in products, Fin’s For Him keeps their shoes simple with the subtle stylish twists.

Style Benefits of the Cooper Brogued Wingtip by Fin’s For Him:

  • The deep brown color complements the fall season and many pieces in formal and casual wardrobe.
  • The sleek and elongated shape is modern and gives any suited look that added punch.
  • The brogue detail makes these shoes the ideal piece of footwear pairing for denim. The texture of the denim and detailing in the shoe complement each other extremely well
  • The style of these shoes are timeless. With proper care, these shoes will last you a lifetime.

    Another great post Sabir!!!

  • Love, love, love.

    • Hi Sian,

I am very happy that you and the Fin’s team approve!!

  • I had a question; Do all of FinsforHim’s styles generally run a size up from U.S? I saw on their website that they go up to UK 13. I wear a U.S. size 14 D. I generally find that I am sized out from many of my favorite shoe manufacturers as their sizes generally end at size 12 U.S.

    • Hi Ozie,

I will contact Fin’s For Him right now to see if this is the case for all of their shoes.

      – Sabir

    • Hi Ozie,

The last only comes up a size too large in our Leathers. So this includes our Cooper Brogues and Bobby Slip-On’s in our AW12 collection – therefore we would recommend a size 12 UK in these 2 particular styles. The rest of our collection, we would suggest a UK13.

      I hope this helps.

Please do not hesitate to contact me should you require any further assistance on Fin’s at

  • Most guys can take comfort in a suit–it’s the standard for any interview no matter your industry.

  • Ok, Sabir, you have to tell me how you did it. The double breasted suit jacket, when you first featured it some time ago, was a 4×1. I remember distinctly. Now you’ve managed to have it tailored and adjusted to 4×2. How did you do it man? I’ve always had the lingering suspicion that it can be done. Just that some tailor, and I use the word tailor very loosely, once told me that it can’t done.

Job well done on all fronts.

    • I actual did the restructuring myself.

  • Recently I bought a Fin’s Shoe, it is surprisingly comfortable and even after several months of daily wear, they don’t show any signs of wear and tear. If there is value for money in any product, and premium quality offered one doesn’t mind paying a little extra.

    • That’s so lovely to hear. Thank for you for your kind words.
