Eyewear Fit For Better Living
French Made, Ireland Born
A few months ago, I stumbled upon the eyewear brand Pewpols via Instagram. Mainly after seeing my friend Akieff modeling/wearing the eyewear on the Pewpols account, I knew this was a brand I need to investigate a bit further.
Fast-forward to today, the brand was kind enough to send me a pair of their Meriner Havana shades from their Sun Collection. Based in Ireland, the brand sources premium quality acetate from Italy, however; the all their eyewear is produced by a family owned manufacturer of 11 skilled workers in Oyonnax, France.
Below you will find my review of these sunglasses and you can check out how they look in the “wild” as well.

True Impression
As an avid wearer of eyewear, it’s hard to find a pair of sunglasses that meets all of my demands — lightweight but sturdy, properly proportioned width, a universal frame color and unique details. However; the Meriner Havana shades falls in that rare echelon of perfect 10.
From a detail perspective, herringbone pattern on the inner-arm wire, plated ‘P’ at the end of the arm and the color variation of the frame are subtle and feeling like details you’d find in a a tailored suit.
Let’s talk about the CR39 blue sun lenses. On my very first wear, it was like stepping into an hi-def world. With sun protection that was damn near next level, for the first time in a while, I could drive without squinting. These lenses are so clear, I often forget to remove these shades when I come inside.
From a design perspective, the arms hook perfectly around your wear without pressing on your temples and stays in place even when you look down.
