The birds are chirping, trees are blooming — that means, spring wedding season is here! It’s the perfect time to pull out your tux, that linen suit or something a bit more “smart casual” for a low-key event.
To help you step into the season, we’ve partnered with The Tie Bar to show you a few ways to incorporate floral accessories, some traditional pieces and even a polo shirt into your wedding wardrobe.

A great man once said, “Suit Up”! And, suiting up for spring wedding season can take you across the menswear universe from wool, cotton to linen. It’s also the perfect time to have fun accessories — like pairing florals.
When pairing florals with a suit, it’s about complementary colors and understand pattern spacing. Too many colors can be jarring and too many patterns will clash. With this look we took florals and geometric designs in browns, greens, and yellows and let them tell the story.
Why Does This Look Work
- Pairing the light blue herringbone shirt with the geometric (somewhat floral) brown and green tie is truly master class in complementary colors. It’s the perfect color complement to the entire look and actually adds warmth.
- With the suit’s base color as tan, it serves as a blank canvas — and, pairs perfectly well with earth tones (see next point).
- Meaning — the green & pink Bikini Sous La Pluie socks add the perfect amount of color
- Lastly, the floral eve ivory pocket square pulls all the colors together because of it’s off-white base and beautiful spacing floral design.

Black Tie w/ A Twist

SHOP | Tuxedo Jacket & Pants – Cummerbund Black Belt – Herringbone Tuxedo Bib Shirt – Caroline Rose Red Pocket Square – Self Tie Bow Tie
The invitation calls for black tie and you pull out your favorite or new tuxedo. You’ve stepped into 007-mode and now all you need is a martini (shaken, not stirred). Keeping everything to standard – white bib tuxedo shirt, cummerbund and bow tie, there’s still wiggle room to inject some floral fun into this look.
Adding this Caroline Red Rose pocket square brings an unexpected pop of color to your black & white tuxedo look. Weddings are fun and it’s fine to have a bit of creative fun with your look — even if it’s subtle.

Casual But Elevated

SHOP | Textured Ribbed Navy Polo Shirt – Domino Navy Paisley Pocket Square
Not all wedding are extremely buttoned up. So, when the invitation says “garden party” it’s time to pull out textured knit polo. You’ll thank us when the dance floor gets busy and the blazer comes off.
Why Does This Look Work
- The Johnny collar style polo (button-less placket) shirt is elevated version of a traditional polo.
- Pairing that polo with a navy blazer adds a monochromatic tone to the overall look.
- An off-white pant is chic and is perfect for the season.
- Pairing a snuff brown suede loafer with the look warms up everything.
- Lastly, the paisley pocket square adds color dimension with a slightly playful pattern.
