Kiehl’s Since 1851 LifeRide for amfAR Launches in Philadelphia

August 1st, Kiehl’s Rittenhouse (Philadelphia) will house a special event in conjunction with the Foundation for AIDS Research called LifeRide  for amfAR. This LifeRide is actually a 7-day long charitable motorcycle ride up the east coast to raise money for AIDS research and Kiehl ‘s Since 1851  has been a big contributor to this research and this event for some time now. This is the 2nd year of the LifeRide event and Kiehl’s is set to donate about $75,000 which is phenomenal to say the least.

This cause is near and dear to my own heart. Thirteen years ago, my mother lost her battle with AIDS and it was tough to see a parent go through so much. Now, with the LifeRide event, each dollar is going to help improve the lives of people fighting this disease, as well as, helping discover ways to treat and eventually eradicate HIV/AIDS.

With an event like this, it is great to see the stars come out to show their support in finding a cure for a disease that affects millions of people every year. Chef, Jennifer Carroll of Bravo’s Top Chef fame, head chef at 10 Arts Bistro & Lounge by Eric Ripert and Philadelphia native with be the event’s official host. There will be approximately 20 LifeRide participants that will cruise down to Kiehl’s on 1737 Walnut Street on their motorcycles where Chef Caroll and Keihl’s will present the donation the amfAR. In addition, Jason Lee, Tyson Beckford, Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Tricia Helfner, Justin Chatwin are just some of the stars that will be in attendance plus many more.

Be sure to visit the Philadelphia Walnut Street Kiehl’s location on Monday, August 1st from 11 am to 1 pm because Kiehl’s will donate $5 for every customer to amfAR up to $30,000. As a customer you can take part in donating money to the fight against HIV/AIDS by purchasing an Limited Edition Ultra Facial Cream, where 100% of the net profit will be donated to amfAR (up to $25,000). If you can not make it out to this event but still want to donate, you can contribute $10 by texting  LIFERIDE to 80888 and reply YES to confirm.
