Coronavirus Won’t Step This At Home Freshness Tribute
My love for Jeff Goldblum is no secret, but, there’s one particular piece of his iconic style that I’ve been drawn to for many years — his love of the Cartier tank watch. Over the last decade, Mr. Goldblum has become to pinnacle of cool/eccentric style for guys over a certain age, however, his iconic panache has trickled down to men of all ages.
Known for rocking wild Prada printed shirts, zebra striped pants and the funkiest kicks, however, his most consistently worn item (besides his chunky frames) is quite minimal in style and design. It’s his Cartier solo tank w/ a 18k gold tank watch w/ a black leather alligator band.
With the Coronavirus limiting work opportunities, I don’t have the funds to invest in a Cartier timepiece ($5200), luckily one of my favorite and most trusted watch brands rands — Seiko, has created a most worthwhile and extremely afford homage with their SUP800 tank.

Why This Watch Style Works So Well
From a design standpoint, the Seiko tank hits just about all the marks of its style-sake the Cartier tank. From it’s H-shaped case, Roman numerals and black leather band — the Seiko tank is as classic is it is modern. Of course, most guys are familiar with circular timepieces because they’re the normal, but, the draw of the tank is its unique rectangular shape
It’s undeniably formal, however, when paired with casual pieces like a polo or t-shirt and jeans, there’s a level of juxtaposition that’s truly beautiful when executed with bit of nonchalance.
