To The Office
Venezia Suit Separates – Tallia
Over the last few years, we’ve gotten accustomed to a more casual way of life. Sweat suits, Zoom appropriate upper-body only wear and so on. So, suiting all the way up may feel like a big change. Once you take a full assessment of your wardrobe, you probably have your essentials suits, so opting for something with a subtle punch – like a navy/brown plaid pattern is the perfect way get excited by suiting. Going full suit and tie makes a proclamation that you’re back and ready to get to work. To give this suit is just due, here are few tips to pulling this look together:
- For a less contrasted approach, opting for light blue denim shirt or Oxford cloth instead of a traditional white button down is the way to go. It’s a better complement color and texture wise.
- Adding a wide-striped, textured wool tie with complementary colors helps to enhance the color and texture of the suit.
- Pairing a chocolate leather shoe (Oxford of Monk strap) is a bit more polished, making for the perfect “office-style” look.
Elevated Smart Casual

Monochromatic styling is an easy way, especially when adding a turtleneck sweater to a suited look to go from corporate to city chic. For the moments when you’d like to suit up from dinner, an after-work function or you just want to show your style acumen – this look is ideal.
- When pairing a turtleneck sweater with this suit, always select a thin gauge (preferably merino wool). It will keep the silhouette sleek & tailored.
- Monochromatic is the way to go, but you can choose to pair a turtleneck highlighting the other suit colors as well (brown/grey). Each will bring out different qualities of the suit and give you more style options.
- This is the perfect time to pair a loafer or a boot with this look. Both footwear options are casual but still put the look together.
The New Business Casual

One of the best ways to approach “business casual” is to suit up, but, nix the tie and the lace-ups. Pairing knitwear pieces to like a long-sleeved polo shirt with this suit brings the the casual cool factor – without stepping into the sloppy territory.
- Once again, sticking with the suit colorway by pairing a rich brown long-sleeved polo – you’ve created a look that’s cohesive and heightens the overall colorway.
- Feel free to let the pants stand alone. This is your opportunity to lose the jacket and let the pants be the star.
- Be smart with your footwear. Opt for a Chelsea boot, monk strap or traditional loafer for a bit of refinement but less stuff than a traditional Oxford.
