In what’s considered to be the height of early wedding season, there’s nothing worst that having to brave the heatt in a heavy wool suit as a guest (just sweating up a storm). Depending of the dress code of the event that you’re attending, a linen jacket may be your best option to keep cool and look fresh. This light grey jacket is extremely versatile in that it’s color is light enough to remain summer appropriate, but, dark enough not to stray away from the casualwear bubble. Below are some styling tips on rocking a off white linen jacket.
- To achieve the ultimate summer wedding look, pair the light grey jacket with a white twill cotton trouser. As oppose to a chino, cotton twill has a more complementary texture when pair with linen
- Add some depth to your look by adding a shirt with deep blue tones. When you step in the the pink, purple and green families, the look become more Easter basket fresh instead of summer wedding/garden party
- A pair of leather or suede loafers in tan, cinnamon or oxblood really refine the look. IMO, a cinnamon suede pair of loafers pairs best with this look
- With such light tones in this look, a pocket square with some color is a great way to add that extra 10% to your look
- If the light grey jacket and white combo is too much for you, pair the jacket with a blue linen trouser for a similar effect
- Don’t be afraid to pair this jacket with a pair of dark denim jeans. You’ll create a great summer look for a date or just a night out with the guys, when you don’t want to look like a “bro”
