There are brands that at their core embody a certain undeniable ethos of simplicity. The brand — Eidos Napoli is the epitome of Italian simplicity, born out of the idea of creating extremely well-tailored men’s sportswear with a soul. As apart of the Siegel+Gale digital series Simplifiers, which follows different entrepreneurs, designers & artists as they talk about what simplicity means to them, goes behind the scenes of Eidos Napoli with its creative director Antonio Ciongoli. Follow Eidos Napoli on Tumblr while the brand’s site is under construction.
I’ve personally had the pleasure of chatting with Antonio on a few occasions while representing GQ Magazine at their partnership events with Bloomingdale’s in New York. Eidos Napoli has a permanent installation in the Men’s Shop that oozes Italian cool that’s approachable. There hasn’t been a time where I haven’t felt comfortable chatting with Antonio about his inspiration for a particular collection, things he would change (the perpetual perfectionist) or what he sees as the future of Eidos.
For those of you that have followed the Men’s Style Pro journey from the beginning, you might find the model in the video quite familiar. He goes by the name Zeph Colombatto and was one of the 5 finalists in the Esquire Best Dressed Real Man in America (the same year that I was featured). Zeph works for Eidos and is often featured in many of its campaigns.
Best,
Sabir
