Founder & Creative Director of Men's Style Pro, Sabir has…
In the last 30 years, hockey apparel has only had a handful of moments where it genuinely felt cool—when Tupac stepped out in a Detroit Red Wings jersey, or when The Mighty Ducks had all of us believing we could pull off the “Triple Deke.” Outside of those cultural flashes, hockey fan gear has mostly lived in one lane: the jersey or sweater (for the Canadian brethren).
Walking into FE Apparel’s showroom, that narrative immediately shifted. Getting hands-on with the collection—feeling the weight of the fabrics, the structure of the silhouettes, and the intention behind every detail—it became clear this wasn’t fanwear as we’ve known it. Coaches’ jackets, hoodies, henleys, parkas, bombers, vests, quarter-zips, and track jackets all sit comfortably in a modern wardrobe, not just a stadium seat.
From design through materials, every piece carries a refined sensibility: wearable, elevated, and quietly luxurious. These are garments that stand on their own, whether you’re trackside, courtside, or nowhere near the rink at all. FE Apparel isn’t trying to make hockey fashion louder—it’s making it smarter. They’ve even created one-of-one pieces for several NHL legends.
But FE Apparel is more than just a vertical brand. Every piece is crafted from 100% recycled materials, produced in mills powered by a hybrid energy system that includes 1,150 solar panels. Recently, FE partnered with the Green Sports Alliance—continuing their mission to push sustainability forward and redefine what responsible manufacturing looks like for the future.
In this feature, we styled their Flyers Track Jacket & Quarter Zip — you know I’m a Philly guy.
Flyers Quarter Zip – FE Apparel
We all know the quarter-zip trend that took over social media over toward the end of 2025, but, I stand on the hill that quarter zips are best suited for athletic apparel. When I first tried on the this bonded fleece quarter zip, I knew FE did something right.
There are a few design elements that make this quarter zip the perfect fan-gear piece—equally at home at the rink or worn casually off the ice.
- The black-and-white colorway is elite. It’s versatile, timeless, and almost feels pulled from a graphic novel—bold without trying too hard.
- The length is spot on. Too often, athletic quarter zips run long because brands attempt to mimic jerseys instead of creating pieces meant for everyday wear. This one actually understands proportions.
- Then there are the details. Flip it around and you’ll notice the Gritty patch on the back—simple at first glance, but packed with character and thoughtful craftsmanship. It’s subtle storytelling done right.detailed.
PS: side note, after I shot this feature – I put this outfit back on and wore it the rest of the day. That means a lot for someone that loves tailored menswear.

FLYERS Track Jacket – FE Apparel
Let me say this now—when I spotted this jacket in the FE Apparel showroom, I immediately knew the brand was doing something right. Honestly, it felt like the jacket was staged on the form stand, just waiting for me to walk in. As a former track & field athlete, I’ve always had a natural pull toward track jackets—but the moment I tried this one on, I knew it needed to be shot.
This piece proves you can rep the team you love without turning your outfit into cosplay. That’s exactly why I intentionally styled it with a loafer and a flannel pant. The goal was to show just how versatile a well-designed track jacket can be—equally at home in a styled, elevated look as it is in a more traditional athletic setting.
Here are the style details: Features: Double sided printed fabric, Laser cut reflective patch lettering on wearer’s left arm, digital print patch on wearer’s left chest, chenille patch with embroidery on wearer’s right chest, tonal digital print patch on wearer’s right arm, tonal chenille patch on center back.
