Getting back to the office might mean getting back into suiting—or maybe you’re just ready to embrace a more tailored look. For years, The Tie Bar has been a go-to destination for menswear accessories, offering ties, pocket squares, tie bars, and more—including a personal favorite of mine.
Over the last few years, The Tie Bar has expanded into apparel including dress shirts, knitwear and more specifically suiting. We’re partnering with them to show you three-ways to style the Lakeshore charcoal wool chalk stripe suit (offered as separates).
9 to 5 Style

Shop | Lakeshore Wool Chalk Stripe Jacket & Trouser | Grenalux Charcoal Tie | White Cotton Charcoal Border Pocket Square | Pinpoint Non-Iron White Dress Shirt
Chalk stripe suits can make a bold statement, but the subtle striping of the Lakeshore wool suit makes it an ideal wardrobe staple. If you’re heading back to the office, it’s the perfect suit to reclaim your title as the office “style guy”—without being the flashy guy. It’s all about style and substance!
Style Tip
- A classic pinpoint white shirt pairs perfect with this suit. There’s subtle texture in the suit pull out the natural texture & pattern of the suit
- Keep the complementary accessories simple — charcoal textured silk tie, white-tipped pocket square and charcoal socks lets this suit remains the star of the show
- Shoes. In this particular look — pairing a black Oxford shoe pull everything together in the most classic way. But; a chocolate suede Oxford or loafer would be a similar effect and add more texture

RETRO POLO MOMENT

Shop | Lakeshore Chalk Stripe Jacket & Trouser | Chartreuse Birdseye Polo Shirt | Bali Retro Blue Pocket Square
The beauty of a charcoal wool stripe suit is its surprisingly light tone, making it easy to pair with bold colors. This look leans into a retro vibe with a Johnny-collar birdseye chartreuse polo, striking the perfect balance between classic and modern.
Style Tips
- Texture, texture, texture! You can see here that this birdseye texture once again lifts the texture and stripes of the suits.
- Color. Jewel-tones warm up the look and add some fun to the entire vibe.
- Collar play! Johnny-collar are sit wider than a traditional button placket shirt and in my opinion look best over the color of your suit jacket.
- Pairing a dark brown suede bit loafer with this look relaxes the vibe but is still polished

Monochromatic

Shop | Lakeshore Chalk Stripe Jacket & Trouser | Charcoal Merino Wool Turtleneck | Laura Ashley x TTB Geo Grey Pocket Square
You can’t go wrong with a monochromatic look when it comes to darker colors, especially charcoal. The look is always chic, relative easy to put together and full of texture.
Style Tips
- This look can be pulled off with just about any charcoal shirt but a merino wool turtleneck adds sophistication that this suit deserves.
- Additionally, when take off the jacket — the turtleneck looks impeccable with the trousers
- Don’t forget the pocket square but keep it in the color family. Adding pattern breaks up the monotony while still being a part of it.
- Once again, the dark brown suede loafer warms this look and gives that casual elegance
