Of course you’ll have to go to work this summer and you might not be able to avoid “suiting up”. Taking some inspiration from the pattern shirt look and stick with a navy dress shirt to making the color of your suit pop. When executed correctly, you can give off a bit of refinement even in very relaxed suit. Below are more style tips on getting “work-ready” for your cotton khaki suit.
- A texture tie like a chambray or knit will complement the texture of this suit well
- Avoid pairing flat silk tie with this suit. The texture of the cotton fabric is too casual and will be a stark contrast when pairing with a flat silk tie
- Shoes: keep the shoes on the darker side of brown (chestnut). Opt for loafers or other slip on like these double monk strap shoes.
- Since you’ve cut the hem shorter on the pants, opt for a solid color sock with some pop
