Grooming: Face time

Every Man Jack Men's Face Products and Barc Razor bump control

Contrary to popular belief, men do need to take care of their skin and especially the skin on their face. More often than not, most men will lightly wash over their faces while in the shower and think nothing of giving their face more time for proper cleaning and moisturizer. Style does extend further than what clothes you are wearing and your face is the first thing people will notice about you (so you want to keep it fresh and clean).

The Every Man Jack brand of men’s facial skin care products is one of the best that I have found on the market and at a great price. Their face wash, pre shave scrub and post shave lotion all cost about $5 a piece and can be purchased at Target stores. If you are looking for a men’s skin care brand that does not leave you smelling like a lavender field or fresh lilac then this is the brand for you. Every Man Jack offers body wash as well, so you can have the full experience of clean.

Andis T Outliners

The Every Man Jack brand not only cleans pores well, the post shave lotion is a great moisturizer that will keep your skin looking well nourished especially during the drying weather conditions of winter. Typically, I only shave with the Andis T outliners because they give a close shave without extreme skin irritation (that razors tend to produce) and I can use it to give myself a shape up or touch up my chin. My wife was kind enough to get me a new pair of Andis T Outliners for my birthday a few years back, and they have been one of the most valuable items that I own. Be sure to oil your blades at least once a week to keep them from rusting and not getting dull. For the guy that prefers wear a beard, the Andis T Outliners would be great to use to keep you beard trimmed and outlined perfectly. If you are someone who suffers from razor bumps the Bump Down product by Barc is phenomenal and will last you such a long time.

Andis T Outliner and Men's Grooming Kit

As a bonus tip, invest in a men’s travel grooming kit that has nail clippers, a razor, lint brush, tooth-brush, and comb. Throw this kit in your travel bag and forget about it. The most useful thing in there will become your nail clipper and lint brush. Word to wise, keep your nails clipped and clean. No one wants to shake hands with someone that looks like they were digging in dirt all day. For all of you ladies out there, all of these items posted would be great gifts for that special man in your life for the holidays and you will be able to appreciate his fresh clean face.

  • Thank you! So many people recommend expensive face wash and lotions and I have found that nothing is as nice as Every Man Jack. I do recommend the Signature Mint over the unscented (the unscented actually smells terrible in my opinion) as it is ever so subtle. I use the regular lotion in the winter and the lotion with SPF 15 if I know I am going to be outside quite a bit. Wonderful product and glad to see someone else agrees!

I use an Andis T Outliner as well. It works well but leaves me with sharp stubble. Do any of the Every Man Jack products help soften that stubble?

    • Cassius,

I will have to look into it.

  • I couldn’t agree with you more. Style is so much more than what you wear. I’m going to give Every Man Jack a try. Check the moisturizer I found online this week, I wrote a mini-review on it on my blog.

Thanks for great post! Not many articles mentioned nail clippers in the travel kit. One essential item that I always have in my kit is beard balm, great for styling and moisturization.
