It’s my pleasure to present the Men’s Style Pro x ModaMatter F/W 17 Capsule Collection. Over the last few months, I’ve been working with Philly-based custom menswear brand ModaMatters to design a capsule collection.
Comprised of two suits, a blazer and a tuxedo this capsule collection spans the full range of an elevated tailored wardrobe. While coming up with the names for each piece, I was inspired by ModaMatters’ Italian heritage, so I looked back on my time in Italy when coming up with each name.
When purchasing a piece from the collection, if you’re local to the Philadelphia-area, you can drop by the ModaMatters showroom at 19th & Market to enjoy being custom fitted. However; if you’re not local, all pieces are offered as ready-to-wear items that come with an alteration credit. Each piece is half-lined, with functional surgeon cuff on the jackets, side tabs waist adjusters on the trousers and natural shoulder (no padding).

The Vecchio Tuxedo $649
When the idea for the collection first came about, the vision of this tuxedo immediately came to mind. As the menswear scene has gone through many waves over the last decade, the heighten blue tuxedo has been in a head-to-head battle with its darker counterpart — the midnight blue tuxedo.
Since the time for sartorial maximalism is now, the royal blue tuxedo jacket is prime to be your go-to for your next formal occasion. To tone the look, we pair this punched up jacket with an open-weave black tuxedo pant.
