Men’s underwear has hit quite a serious note over the last few years. If you’re not wearing black boxer briefs, you’ve committed a sin against nature. That serious sentiment was not shared by Ken Wroy’s founder, Vasumathi Soundararajan. The FIT alumnus wanted to introduce men’s underwear line that wasn’t just comfortable & stylish, she ultimately wanted guys to feel sexy.

Before digging deep into the brand, I have to tell you that I’ve been a customer since this summer – so my experience has truly been first hand. When you first head to the Ken Wroy site, you immediately be peppered with really fit guys modeling the underwear – making you feel like you might need to hit the gym or you might trick yourself into thinking that the underwear will make you look that good too.
Patterns & Design
With designs ranging from cityscape graphics like their Sydney trunks that were inspired by her travels to the abstract waves of their Copacabana underwear (seen above), there is a clear sense of whimsy and outright fun to Ken Wroy brand’s approach to mens underwear. When I first became aware of the brand, I was curious to see if the designs and colorways were going to veer into gimmick/novelty territory – think boxers with your favorite beer brand on them that you wore in college. So far that hasn’t been the case and it keeps me coming back as customer. Thumbs up for fun designs!
Fit & Feel
There’s something to be said about a pair of underwear that makes it feel like you’re wearing nothing at all and provides outstanding & needed support. The fabric is a blend of materials that are mostly microfiber (89%) with a blend of polyester & spandex. I’ve worn the brief, trunk & boxer brief cuts and the all-day wearabilty & comfort is damn near a 10. They’re not receiving a perfect score because there’s the slightest bit of rise on the boxer briefs throughout the day – but it’s extremely minimal. Major bonus – they’re extremely soft, almost silky.
Overall
Based on fit, comfort, patterns and designs, Ken Wroy might be able to bring men’s underwear out of the doldrums and inject some personality into your britches.
