The Rise & Growth of Frank & Oak

(All font in burgundy is clickable)

Just eight months ago, Frank & Oak made a huge splash in the e-commerce menswear scene. By offering quality men’s style essentials at $50 or less, while at the same time refreshing their inventory monthly, the question of “brand staying power” may have surfaced in the minds of many guys and style enthusiasts. By flipping their inventory so often, F&O is able to keep the market fresh and their partner (aka consumers) desperately waiting for the first of every month to roll around (which is in they release their new inventory).

Fast forward to today, F&O launched the “Industry Issue” with the focus of this line being a “tribute to craftsmanship, builders, rolling up your sleeves and getting your hands dirty (F&O newsletter).” When many menswear brands are thinking strictly “runway look”, F&O brings practice and functional pieces together with glimpses of modern style that we can all appreciate. Making the leap from just t-shirts, a few button ups and a blazer or two, Frank & Oak is tackling tailored-fit chinos, flannel, chambray and cotton shirts, v-neck sweaters and cardigans this month.

Since Men’s Style Pro has had the opportunity to work with and feature Frank & Oak since its start, it is also great to see some new added features to their site. Check out The Edit, which is F&O’s editorial section that features style-tips, interviews with their favorite menswear bloggers, how-to demo in mixing some of your favorite pieces in different looks and just a boat-load of other style pieces that will definite pique your interest. Below are some of my favorite pieces from this months “Industry Issue” inventory.

Ranford Cardigan in Hazel

Jasper Oxford in Bordeaux

Lochner Plaid Shirt in Hazel (Cotton)

Seascape Tie Bar

Newport Chinos in Steel Green

Owner’s Note: For a first go-round of producing pants, F&O does a hell-of-a good job. I’ve worn these chinos for a few weeks now and they are well-tailored without fitting snug and the cotton is just “so damn soft”!

Lennon Square Tie in Orchard (cotton)

Heather Grey Alton Hoodie

Citizen Flannel Scarf in Glacier

Citizen Pocket Square in Arbor

2-Pack Smith Socks in City

Huron Flannel Shirt in Indigo
